The Truth About Self Care

Alright, let's get real about self-care. I know so many of us (myself included!) get caught up in taking care of everyone else and feel straight-up guilty when we take time for ourselves.

But the truth is, we NEED to embrace self-care, or we're going to burn out, hard.

I'm just going to say it - it's not selfish to set boundaries and prioritize your well-being! It's called self-PRESERVATION.

When we're running on empty, we have nothing left to give anyone else. You know that emergency oxygen mask metaphor? It's time to put your own mask on first!

On that note, self-care is not just about "treating yourself" - it's a necessary step to ensure you're well-equipped to handle the demands of motherhood. It’s part of what allows us to approach life's challenges with ease rather than stress. It's essential self-love.

Trust me, I've learned the hard way that skimping on self-care turns you into a frazzled, joyless mess real quick. 😵‍💫 Don't do that to yourself!

Taking even 10 minutes daily to do something for yourself can make all the difference in your mental and emotional state. So take that time to do what brings you joy and serenity – guilt-free! And remember, self-care doesn’t have to mean a spa day (but it certainly can!). Sometimes self care can mean purging junk out of your house, going for a drive, or sitting in complete silence. 🧘🏼‍♀️ Self care is ANYTHING that makes you feel like a fuller version of yourself. You don’t just deserve it, mama; you need it. 💓

Cheering you on!
